What is Europe3D?

Europe3D is an international student project which gathers students from all around the world in a 6-7 days seminar series, where the participants get to learn more about three distinct dimensions of a country: politics, economy and culture. It is designed, planned and organised by members of the association ESTIEM (European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management). Europe3D is a platform for intercultural and interdisciplinary communication, thus creating the perfect environment for understanding, debating and discussing the most actual and sensitive political, economical and cultural issues of the hosting country. Since the idea of the project was born in 2006, already 44 seminars have been successfully carried out in the following countries: Germany, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Romania, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Belgium, Spain, Hungary, Portugal, Norway, Russia, Azerbaijan, Slovenia, Italy, Ukraine, Austria and Macedonia.

Ankara gained new importance with the proclamation of the Turkish Republic and developed swiftly as the capital city that today is the second biggest metropolitan city in Turkey. Since Ankara is the capital city, it is also the center of diplomacy.

Istanbul which is the most populous city with fifteen million inhabitants in Turkey and the country’s economic, cultural and historic center can be considered as a capital center of Turkish economics. It is also a transcontinental city in Eurasia.
