You are interested in the future of our energy supply? You always wanted to feel the sweet sound of a 600 MW generator rotating? Then Aachen is the place to be this November.
The structure of power generation in Europe is changing more rapidly ever since and we need to face the technical and economic challenges to adequately find suitable solutions. System stability, grid structure and market design are essential topics of the development, that we would love to discuss with you in our Workshop. In six great days in Germany, we will give you a wide overview of research approaches and industry expertise to think about and discuss. And of course, we won’t miss visiting one of the biggest lignite power stations in Europe.
Furthermore, don't miss the chance of visiting our lovely and tiny student city which is located directly at the Dutch and Belgian border and has a lot of internationals! It may seem there is no one around but the students because the city centre is our university campus since it is surrounded by RWTH University buildings. Well yeah, that means we have eduroam on the street ;) Be ready for the "beautiful" Aachen-weather, parties and lots of beer and our Flunkyball tournament! Another challenge: take home as much chocolate from our Lindt factory outlet as you can carry. So, pack up your umbrella and EESTEC Spirit - you're going to need them both equally :D More information is coming soon :)
